Motoring Journalist's Road Test

Motoring journalist and vlogger Tom Howard has been testing out the new TS1 driving loafers from Hugs & Co. The all new environmentally conscious footwear introduces incredible durability to the classic style whilst retaining the comfort associated with the brand. 

Tom took a pair to Milan and reported that they were perfect for hopping in and out of the various super cars and classics he was reviewing on his trip there. He's pictured wearing the slate grey suede laced loafers with upcycled car tyre soles. The colour, silhouette and components create a truly motoring inspired piece of footwear. 

Luxury footwear is seldom combined with the idea of caring for the environment. Designers Benjie and Hugo Davis, who are behind Hugs & Co., are keen to correct this trend. 

Waste car tyre is upcycled and converted into usable parts for footwear. The process of upcycling produces one tenth of the CO2 that moulding new soles from scratch would. On top of this a potentially harmful waste material is being repurposes and recycled safely.
